Message from the owner
"After
nearly 8 years in the retail business, I've decided that I'd like to
try something new and move on. It's been a fabulous journey,
learning many new skills and and meeting hundreds of new people.
I'd
like to thank all of our customers for your loyal support, your
enthusiasm and love for beautiful things and for making it a great
success. We've enjoyed serving you and being a part of a close
community, we'll miss you all.
Also, I'd like to thank our
dedicated staff whithout whom, none of Pinx would have been possible -
to Sarah North for her loyal, committed and dedicated management
of the shop for almost 5 years; To Sharon Flood for running our busy
Saturdays over the last 3 years and for her creative input, immaculate
cleaning and store management; My Sister Jan for helping with the
buying an allowing me to use her as a sounding board for business ideas
and strategy; To Graham for his dedicated management of cardboard
recycling and waste; To the tens of other people who have
helped me in the background over the yeast and; Most importantly, to my
Mum June for all her hard work, advice, 40 years plus experience
and support - working most of the time, for love!"
Here's a little poem that I wrote...Pinx - The End Of An Era
After 8 years in retail it’s my time to move on,
In the next month or so we’ll be packed up and gone.
I want to try out new challenges, add more strings to my bow,
Perhaps start a family if life blesses us so.
This message I write sincerely from the heart,
To all our customers, since right from the start,
A big thank you very much for your incredible support,
and your enthusiastic love for the things that you’ve bought.
I’m sorry to leave you but I hope that you comprehend,
I’m sorry to make you find other places to spend,
We’ve always been fair on prices, this you well know
Please grab your last bargains because everything must go.
